On March 22nd at the stroke of midnight, we began loading in audio, lighting and video reinforcement for a landmark downtown Dallas outdoor event. The launch of the Victory Media Network© was an unveiling, a party and a charity event benefitting The Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. A showcase for the world’s first large-scale, outdoor digital arts gallery, Victory Plaza, in the shadow of the American Airlines Center, is the heart of a new urban environment that includes premiere hotels, dining, retail and residential units. We fed digital imagery and high-energy video to the Plaza’s eight, permanent, track-mounted, 15‘x26’ LED screens via our Barco Events Encore system in conjunction with our GV Turbo digital disc recorders. Our sound system could be heard throughout downtown as the world’s #1 VJ, Britian’s Addictive TV, entertained the crowd from a perch in the center of the plaza. The lighting was spectacular as a wide assortment of moving lights, LEDs and truss were employed to add a dynamic and creative flash to the show.
